WARRANTY

WARRANTY & CONSUMER GUARANTEES

WORN Store Pty Ltd (“WORN”) provides this warranty for products purchased in Australia. This Warranty is provided in addition to, and does not exclude or limit, any rights or remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

WARRANTY PERIOD

Unless otherwise stated, WORN products are covered by a 24-month warranty from the date of receiving the goods.

This Warranty covers manufacturing and material defects arising under normal residential use. Where a product is found to have a covered defect, WORN may, subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, repair or replace the product as appropriate.

This Warranty is not transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, this Warranty applies to products used for residential purposes only. Products supplied for commercial use may be subject to separate warranty terms.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

• Normal wear and tear or ageing through ordinary use.

• Natural variations, characteristics or imperfections inherent in materials such as timber, stone, marble, metal, leather, textiles and other handcrafted materials.
• Products sold as seconds, samples, floor stock or repaired products where the relevant defect or condition was disclosed before purchase.
• Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, accident, improper handling, incorrect assembly, inadequate maintenance or failure to follow applicable care instructions.
• Damage caused by exposure to inappropriate environmental conditions, including excessive heat, cold, moisture, direct sunlight or outdoor conditions where the product is not designed for outdoor use.
• Repairs, alterations or modifications undertaken or attempted by a person not authorised by WORN.
• Damage caused by using a product for a purpose other than that for which it was designed.
• Electrical faults resulting from an incorrect or inconsistent electrical supply, modification or use with inappropriate accessories.
• Products that have been tampered with, incorrectly adjusted or modified in any way.

As many WORN pieces are handcrafted and made from natural materials, variations in colour, grain, texture, veining, patina, dimensions and finish are to be expected and form part of the individual character of each piece. These natural variations are not considered manufacturing defects. Timber that expands over time is also considered a defect as cracks are part of the authentic Wabi aesthetic.

AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER GUARANTEES

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality, and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

For failures that are not major, WORN may choose to repair the product, replace the product or provide another remedy as required by the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this Warranty excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM

To make a warranty claim, please contact our helpful team hello@wornstore.com.au with your order number or proof of purchase, a description of the issue, and clear photographs showing the product and relevant defect.

Once received, our team will review your claim and advise you of the next steps. We may request additional photographs, information or inspection of the product where reasonably required to assess the claim.
