Leather and Teak

Our teak framed chairs have been made with care and consideration following artisan techniques and using high quality materials. Any imperfections are part of the beauty of the leather and a guarantee of genuine hand craftsmanship.

Treat this chair with love, keep the leather conditioned using a high-grade specialised leather conditioner at least 2-3 times a year. Never let the leather dry out, always keep it supple. Indoor use only. Never use chemical based products. For the teak frame, we recommend polishing with high grade organic bees wax in order to keep the wood protected and moisturised, retain its true colour and to protect the timber from drying out and splitting.

It is important that chemical cleaners are not used to clean the hide, leather or frame. As we do not use chemical-based dyes or treatments any chemical or water-based moisture that comes into contact with the leather will leave an irreversible mark.

Tabourets

This item has been made with care and consideration following artisan techniques and using high quality materials.

All of our tabours will differ from the website image, as each item is made from a different part of a tree. Colour, texture and grain differences represents the organic nature of our production and these characteristics make every item unique.

Any imperfections such as slight cracking are part of the beauty of the rattan and a guarantee of genuine hand craftsmanship. Being a natural materials they will change over time, contracting and expanding with their surrounding environment. Please note, changes in colour, texture, tone and cracking (unless severe) are not grounds for a refund as this is a natural process of a natural living material.

Due to this, they may hold internal moisture which can over time release from the items. Holes are drilled into the base to allow the timber to naturally expand and contract. Please avoid placing directly onto rugs or carpet unless you seal the underneath with a waterproofing agent. We do not apply these ourselves as we do not use chemicals in our production. To avoid marking any flooring, our recommendation is to place a non-slip layer between tabouret and rugs or carpet to avoid staining/marking. Additionally, felt is suggested to add to the feet of stumps to avoid scratching any solid surfaces (timber, concrete floors etc)
